Hi Everyone!

Just a quick question. So I submitted FAFSA last week (to get priority consideration) in which I listed parental income information. Today i just received information from the school I would like to attend that I do not need to submit parental information. I was just wondering, would it make any difference if I were to submit a FAFSA correction without my parental information? 2016 was a good year for my parents but in no ways representative of the financial situation we are in now, so I am worried that I might be gimping my aid. Would this be a better question for the financial aid office?

If a school doesn't request parent financial information, they will simply ignore it when they look at your FAFSA results. There is no need to re-submit.

I'm pretty sure this is true, but just call the office anyway. Mine was always super helpful with these questions.
