Fail a NON-prereq course?

Hi, everyone. I was just wondering what your thoughts are on failing a non-prereq course. I have my last final tomorrow and my brain is not entirely here. 🙂 I'm not sure whether I should just forget about it all or should I really start freaking out now 😳

I wouldn't fail it, but I would try to shoot for a C at least. Getting an F would lower your overall gpa.

I had the same situation with a silly one credit guitar class. I couldn't really play two of the three pieces (not for lack of trying to learn them) and wondered if going to the final was worth the effort. I decided that I didn't want to see what an F looked like on my transcript. I went, suffered through and ended up getting a B for the effort.

Don't waste the money and time you've spent on the class. Study as well as you can for the final and put yourself through it. I think you'll be glad you did.

I'd assume that you already got accepted to a pharmacy school when you said that your brain wasn't really there. I think F will look really bad on your transcript regardless of the importance of the subjects.

I would say avoiding an "F" at all costs. If your already accepted - there is normally a pre - acceptance tidbit about maintaining a certain level of academic achievement. an "F" might not fall in the category (depends on the school). If you have not been accepted yet, then any bad grade will not help you. Maybe its my competitive nature - but I hate letting anything, much less a class, get the best of me. I hope you got the grade you were looking for.

I actually have a B in the class right now, so I'm not exactly failing. 🙂 If I do not do so hot on the final, I'll probably at least end up with a C. Thanks for the thoughts guys

I failed yoga and they didnt ask me about it. 🙄

Before you ask, I failed because I got sick and missed too many classes.

I got a D in Philosophy. Darn professor didn't like me cause I have a religious sounding last name and he was anti-Christians. BOO on teachers who are like this! 👎

Even though you might already be accepted into pharmacy school you never know how a C or D in a course can come back to haunt you later. I know your brain may be fried right now but do the best that you can on that final. Also your school may be in the process of awarding scholarships to incoming students so you definitely wouldn't want the last grade they see for you to be a bad one!
