Failed Comlex 2 CE from 8/14/14 release date

So I failed Comlex 2 CE and they are reviewing the grading. I am currently studying and scheduled to take the retake 9/17, hoping for a regrade that might put me in passing but I doubt it 🙁 My question is should I submit my application without the scores or should I try submitting it now when the comlex scores arent being released, maybe sending only comlex 1? I called nbome and eras and they said they dont know what would happen if I did, so dont know if I should risk sending a failed score without a retake. Any info would be helpful thanks

I'm kind of confused. Did you already submit your aoa applications? They've already seen your comlex 1 scores if you released your scores with your app. You have to manually go in to retransmit your comlex 2 scores. So unless you already did that, they haven't seen that you've failed.

If you're talking about applying for acgme programs, then they will see both your comlex 1 and 2 scores since those applications aren't due yet and once you submit scores it submits all your scores.

Eras has frozen all score releases because of the nbome debacle so for better or worse this decision has been made for you.

Yea I submitted my applications on eras for the aoa programs but did not send the comlex transcripts, I'm thinking it might be best to hold off until I get my passing grade which will be mid oct? Since they prob won't give me an interview with a failed comlex 2 without a retake just yet

Ahh ok, I see what you're saying. Are you only applying aoa? How did you do on comlex 1?

If you're only applying aoa, then I think I'd probably send the scores in now honestly. From my understanding aoa gives out interviews pretty early (I know some people with interview invites already) and mid october is getting kind of late to just be sending in a complete application. They're going to see that you failed regardless of when you send your scores in.

If you did ok on comlex 1 then you might get some interviews without comlex 2. From what I've heard from several people is it's most important to have passed all exams by the time they do the rank list because they don't want to gamble on someone who might fail close to graduation time.

However, if you're also applying acgme, then I'd probably wait until mid oct to release your application since that's not too terribly late and it'd definitely be advantageous to have a passing comlex 2.
