Failed CS due to Handwriting

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If you know your handwriting is terrible, why wouldn't you use the computer option? I feel like I'm stating the obvious but apparently you didn't notice the obvious.

The friend I practiced cases with had terrible handwriting. It was tiny, illegible and he even used some abbreviations that were beyond me. I used to get frustrated all the time reading his PN.

He wrote the PN by hand on all his cases, and he passed.

Lucky.

I had the COMLEX equivalent, and we could only write. Still passed. There really wasn't an excuse to have horrid penmanship b/c I had plenty of time to write what I needed for all but maybe 1 encounter.

Let me clarify. The only reason I wrote was because I'm a very slow typer and since this test is timed ....

Hard to say without really seeing what the handwriting looks like. People sometimes exaggerate their own work. I think my handwriting is great and very legible, but I've had some people criticize it. I'm sure people with worse handwriting have passed. Only time will tell.

Has personally anybody taken CS and had bad/messy handwriting on their note and still passed? I'm pretty worried.Thanks.

My understanding is that if it can be read they don't care if it is messy but obviously if it isn't possible to read it you don't get credit for what can't be read.
