Failed in Step 2!!!

Hey,
I have been a avid reader of all the posts on this forum for a long time. And it has helped me out a lot. I just got my Step 2 results. And I got 183/74. I failed it by 1 point. Just need some advice
1. What are my chances of me getting into Pedicatrics or OB-GYN if I can show dramatic improvement on the second try. I passed Step 1 on second try with 210. I am currently in Ross university doing my rotations in NY.
2. Should I get the scores rechecked and hope it can push me over the passing line?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

don't waste money rechecking the score. Try to show major improvement the second time out. Its gonna be tough but anything is possible apply to a number of programs in peds and ob/gyn and see what happens. Peds isnt the most competitive field u might get a shot somewhere. Don't lose hope
