Oh my god this is scary ...I have my exam with in a month I m freaking out right now especially after seeing this post; I mean 74 is like too close .. take a chance and give a shot for reevaluation too.Who knows u may get lucky.

You can always send a email to those colleges explaining you will be retaking the exam if you don't want to miss out on applying , and the ones which deadlines are afterwards you can retake and then apply to the others.

as long as the rest of your application is stellar, it shouldn't make much of a difference. a person in my DDS program failed her part 2 and she still got acceptance and is now my classmate. and yes it showed her fail mark on her score report.
you need to remember that the NBDE part 1 and 2 is just a baseline assessment, and the real assessment of whether they will call you or not is based on your SOP and CV and resume. what you can bring to the program and why you would be a good fit for their school. i would rewrite the exam in 3 months, but i wouldn't delay sending out my applications to schools.

I have the same, my score is 73((( I will apply only for schools which accept NBDE 1. Many schools are on rolling basis and everything will be decided in July I guess(

So why couldnt you retake the exam and then apply in CAAPID?

You have to wait at list 3 months to retake the test, than about 3 weeks to get results. Who will wait you?(
