Hi everyone. I just found out I failed step 2 ck with a 182! I plan on retaking it asap and was wondering if anyone hand any advice? I used secrets, usmleworld (finished about 2000 questions 60% tutorials and 40% timed with reading answers afterward) , and first aid the first time around....what are your guys ideas on studying the second time around should i re-do usmle world or should I try Kaplan Qbank? Any and all advice will help since I'm flipping out!!!!

Need more info: 1. How long did you study? 2. Did you study during clerkships? What were your scores on the shelf exams?

Studied for 3 weeks during an easy ambulatory month but some time was spent with a sick family member, all shelf exams were 65-75 which was passing, and step 1 was 199?

Obviously, you will need to study again, and probably take some time off or at least alot of easy electives during which time you can study, I won't post my preferred Step 2 ck materials until I get my results back (glad to be over with it though!), some students who study hard for shelf exams year round are probably able to just take an easy elective and then take step 2 and blow it away because they studied hard during third year cores . . . I would review major clinical diseases which you need to know inside out like CHF, diabetes, CF. . . this way you can brush up on basic pathphysiology and pharm, i.e. you need to do more than questions at this point i.e. make up for some small deficits in clinical knowledge, i.e. don't just do UW and then take step 2 in your case.
