Has anyone seen that that AMA strongly advised against this test being associated with graduation requirements (as currently required by the AOA for accreditation)? Has anyone seen who authored the papers that support the validity of this test? (Current VP of Clinical testing for the NBOME)..... Anyone want to know how much he is paid to oversee the "testing" process? This NOT FOR PROFIT entity has DOUBLED THEIR INCOME since implementing this test------ Check out their 990 at GUIDESTAR.ORG. Check out the stats on High-Stake licensing and the REAMS of data that invalidate these types of tests. Did you know that in the 60's the MD's abandoned this type of testing for a multitude of reasons...... including legal non-defensibility and prejudice and bias (read higher education laws)??? If this test had the ability to prove some degree of competency that was defensible in the courts system, don't you think that the insurance companies would be interested? Oh, by the way, they're not. Anyone else just a wee bit worried about how/if they are going to make it to their perspective residencies this year...... and just who is going to bear the burden of missing this year?? Anyone concerned that when they signed up for school- this wasn't part of many of the schools graduation requirements?? Yet they are holding you to it now?? I failed this test- and have no desire to roll over. I am a soldier- now I am deployable and could be put two years behind because of a 15 month tour (I get to drive the docs around, just can't work as one). I will fight for our freedom abroad and here. Read the data on this. Get in touch with me. Stand on the right side. How do you know you will pass this time???? You have worked to hard for this golden ring for them to make one more joke of a test to deal with. If it means something, I'm all for it- when I can see the holes in this data- it has been clearly recorded by those who look out for us (AMA)- you know there is something up.
