i read on this board 94% of US grads passed but on the USMLE website it says 80%. Does anybody know the truth? Seems like stories of people who failed it would be pretty common...

I believe the 80% figure you read was overall, including FMG's and repeaters. I think FMG's pass somewhere in 50-60% range, which brings the overall pass rate down. US 1st timers have a 94% pass rate. That goes for Step 1 and 2 CK. The pass rate for Step 2 CS is 96% for first time US test takers. The FMG rate is around 70% for that.

A resident I worked with on my medicine sub-I, who is a FMG, gave me those figures. Regardless, it doesn't matter. Study hard and you will do well.
