Fake/Bogus DAT test questions

My brother took the Pharmacuetical Boards and he was told there are fake questions that they test out for the next year exams. They dont hurt or help your score, basically they just want to see the % of how many people got them right or wrong to see if they would be good questions in the future. Do you know if they do this for dental boards or perhaps DAT. I already took dat and am applying now, so DAT does not affect me, but do you knwo anything about this?
