I was so pissed off yesterday getting a rejection letter from UCSF!!!
What a school.
Gave me fake interview invite few weeks ago on Friday night, I partied and told my parents who are in overseas. Called the school on Monday and found out that it was fake, and got a rejection from them yesterday thru mail. And the most bothering thing is that my AADSAS status page STILL says "Invited for Interview." I guess they're just joking around with me?
Damn.

o wow, thats rough..i hope i dont have to join u in that boat

What a crappy mistake on their part. I think I read previous posts of them mistakenly offering interview invites to a bunch of people. But ouch ...

that is awful....I don't put any stock in AADSAS whatsoever. I have three interviews and none of them are on aadsas.

I vaguely remember last year that they put "Accept the Applicant" on a few people's AADSAS page Dec 1, but it turned out that that was a fake too. Ugh. That's so frustrating - I'm sorry that happened to you.

none of my interviews were listed on aadsas. seriously, what are they being paid for???

Not all the schools choose to use the AADSAS status page, and it might be the schools that update your status directly, not AADSAS.

yup, what could I do?
Finally they updated my status page to "Recieved/Application Denied"
Ha.
Hope to get some love from other schools.

It's sucks that it played out like this. Next time you should call the schools to verify that they want you for an interview.
