This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Am interested in it as well
Falcon physiology lecturers[step1 online] were good.
Hopefully they are the lecturers for the FA too
But it comes as a package only.I need only FA lectures. Not the qbank or physio.

There probably is not much feed back out there on this since it is a new program, but Falcon looks to be competing with DIT. Does DIT offer the USMLE World Qbank with their program?

I just bought Falcon FA review. Very soon I will be able to tell my experience about it.

Regarding Physiology that is offered on Falcon review, somebody is just reading the Costanzo Physiology book.....no explanations. I think it's such a dumb idea.....looks more like for blind people who can't read or for lazy people who wants someone to read for them while they are relaxing on beach. :meanie:

Could you please comment on the Falcon FA review. If you had a chance to also watch DIT, please differentiate between the two.

thank you

The first Aid package from Falcon sucks. It's really bad. You think Doctors in training is some dude reading off first aid? Wait till you watch those videos. It's just the professors reading WORD FOR WORD off of first aid 2011 [for the 2011 package]. If you want a structured review of first aid, i'd go with doctors in training rather than falcon's review package.

Doctors in training --> they mail you a study guide with questions/exercises to follow along. The professor dude also goes through first aid, but he adds some variation to the lecturing IMO. I've only done a few hours of DIT so far, and I feel like i'm remembering things that i had forgotten from older courses [e.g biochem etc.]. Like I said in the previous post, Falcon's first aid 2011 review is just garbage, complete and utter garbage.

3 of my friends are using the videos right now. I will be seeing them at the library in a bit and will ask them what they think about the videos.

They seem to be liking them since they have been using them pretty regularly.

Over at the IMG forums people say how the online Falcon prep is not at the same level as the live prep.

I actually saw the costanzo physio videos as well, they were HORRIBLE. The guy literally just reads word for word the slides out to you.

I watched the Falcon FA behavioral video for 5 minutes and wanted to go into the screen and punch the lady in the face. She was reading from FA and couldn't even do that correctly. She had NO public speaking ability as she constantly had "uhhs, umms" throughout. It was impossible to follow her. I'm just happy I didn't pay for it cuz it's not even worth it to get it for free.

Haven't seen the DIT yet but have heard good things. I will check it out in a month or 2.

I have the Regular Falcon liveprep videos as well and have watched them for a few topics. They are actually pretty good. And much shorter than Kaplan.

I agree with the general consensus. I attended the LIVE prep session and we were given free access to their FA online, but I chose to listen to DIT instead. Very few people I know chose Falcon's FA, not to mention that I personally didn't get much out of the LIVE program either.
