Since I'm a senior applying this cycle and my fall semester has finished, I'd like to report my grades to the schools where I have interviewed. Should I upload a pdf of my unofficial transcript to each school's portal to report the grades or should I write out a more typical update letter (or do both)?

Why?
Some of the schools I interviewed at said they would like them reported at the interview day, but didn't say which way they would prefer.

Just send the pdf transcript and if you have anything else to update on you can send that separately

You can do both- upload it to their website, and then send an email saying that you have a grade update and just wanted to make sure it is received by the admissions office.
