Can anyone please let me know if the lists mentioned above are for rejection/aknowledgements/IVs all combined or just aknowledgements and IVs? Reply awaited.
Per the thread title, these are dates on which interview invites were offered.
The dates here, while it's still September, are the EARLIEST that SOME programs will offer an interview IMMEDIATELY based on a top-skim FORMULA that takes little-to-no time. Such as Step 1 score and home state. The PD quickly reviews those top-skim candidates, maybe, and out go the invites. Programs want to be in the game for the cream of the crop, because the numerically-and-or-geographically best candidates' schedules will get full fast. THEN the huge pile of apps gets looked at. Slowly. By very busy doctors. Some programs wait for the dean's letter. Some programs only review apps every other Tuesday and take a couple months to get through the ones that arrived at noon on September 15.
One thing I hadn't been aware of a year ago: FM programs like to ask specific questions to be answered in the PS. About a third of my target programs are like this. Obviously if you're expected to answer specific questions (why this program?) then your answers are going to be used as a primary screen. Just like med school admissions, the reviewers are naturally very interested in making a very huge pile smaller, quickly, and naturally less concerned about missing one special snowflake only found by time-consuming thorough review.
There are about 500 family med programs listed in ERAS, and fewer than 100 listed in this thread. Keep breathing.
Best of luck to you.
I'm looking forward to seeing the interview season from the other end of the table this year. Good luck to everyone and let me know if I can be of any advice. The interview season didn't end up how I thought it would last year but I honestly couldn't be happier now and I feel like I learned a lot going through it.

What? No, I was just adding the two i got today as said at the top. And yes I'm a US-IMGThese are all the places you got interviews at?
And you are IMG too?

It's the running list...I meant is that your own list [like every program that has gotten back to you] or is it all the invites that you know of on this thread?
I'm an AMG and I was thinking the same, but really not many of the programs listed here were programs I applied to. An excel spreadsheet might make you feel a little better. Don't stress so much. It's still early. As an IMG is thread is gut-wrenching.

My scores are above the 1st SD for FM, maybe even the 2nd, so I applied to all types of programs around California, and a few other desirable locations. I've seen at least 4 programs on here that have over looked me. I even had a rejection from a very low community program already.
-Hang in there! Hopefully there are more than just one "wave" of interviews per program.
-I'm crossing my fingers that more interviews will come out Oct. 1 after deans letters are released.
-Also my understanding is one important factor is local applicants get first invites ( in addition to citizenship status, scores,YOG, other red flags etc.) If you do audition rotations they may even give you the interview before you leave (so you don't have to come all the way back)
I was just combing through the forums for applicants last year that matched with very low grades/USMLE failutres and your grades are much higher than there's. They were also IMG. Your grades are even higher than mine and I got some IVs (although I am AMG and didn't apply to any Cali or West-side places). So you are definitely a position to succeed.
Are you saying that Northridge is a very low community program? I hear pretty good things about them actually.Northridge
I guess it's all relative. Are you saying that Northridge is a very low community program? I hear pretty good things about them actually.
Thank you for responding!!the residency directory on aafp allows you to search on unopposed. but that appears to be subjective - in my experience the best way to find unopposed programs is to pull the NRMP.org data that shows positions per program, which tells you for reals whether there are other residencies...which is what actually matters so that you're not competing for cases. There's a lot more to care about, but that's a good start.
Yes, I have more than 10 already... I'm DO, applied to 34 programs, mainly MDAnyone with 10+ interview invites already...
^i also got one and nope
Sorry, yeah I got an invite and emailed back but no response.refering to drexel? - i.e. you got an interview e-mail and you weren't able to get through on the phone.
-hopefully the coordinator is just away but man this is my first choice, would prefer the get the november interview date.
