My wife who will also be studying medicine with me is leaning towards Pediatrics. We will be opening an office together her side dealing with pediatrics, my side with FP/Geriatrics.

However, is this a bad idea? Are pediatrics and FP too closely related to where it's overkill having them in exactly the same area?

I'm not sure it's getting out what I'm trying to say, but if you think you understand tell me what you think.

Thank you.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but you can tailor your FP practice to whatever you want. You can say that in your practice you will not see children (and let them all go to her side of the office!) That is one of the best things about FP - you can really see whatever types of patients you choose.
