Have question on Texas Unrestricted License:
one of the requirement says "Three attempts per step." is this true?? If someone passed the stepII more than 3 times they are not eligible to apply???
second one is "You are required to pass the Texas Medical Jurisprudence examination (JP)."...how difficult is this and why do they need??
looks like the one of the stupid requirements have seen for TMB...
I'm not so sure what's stupid about requiring a medical licensee to have taken Step 2 *only* three times or less. As Apollyon notes, many states have this requirement.
There are a few threads here about the Texas Jurisprudence Exam...if you do a search you will find them and it may answer some of your questions about the difficulty.
As to why they do it-who knows, perhaps because they can.
