Just want to see which one is the most popular among the premeds 😀

Personally, the spy in the corner of chrome's incognito thing makes me feel cool so I can't help it.

Also, happy thanksgiving :O

Talking about technologically savvy things... google wave is out!!!

My explorer homepage is gmail. and I use it for two (or three things)
gmail->facebook, and iapply (which I no longer use since I am on HOLD)

and firefox is my main browser.
I tried chrome once but I hated that you couldn't open new windows and could only open new tabs (dont know if this function has been updated yet)

I think they did update that
they still don't have the option of automatically clearing your history when you exit like firefox though, so that kind of bothers me.

Safari, out of convenience.

Basically I got my computer and immediately started browsing the web instead of downloading Firefox, and just stuck with it.

FIREFOX- rarely have issues (unlike when I used to use IE 😡 which is the most useless and troublesome internet browser ever created)

Looks like there's no love for IE. And yet so many sites are designed for IE and don't function well on Firefox. Come on web-designers, get with the program...

I used to love Firefox, but ever since Chrome was released I've made the switch. I love the way the tabs are positioned at the very top, allowing for more screen room. Everything is very lightweight and much quicker for me, since my laptop is a bit old and usually overheats when I run Firefox.

I used to be a diehard Firefox user but I have loved Chrome ever since I tested it out. It's awesome.

Where is Netscape Navigator?

lol jk

More people should try Opera 🙁 Most people simply have no idea what it is or that it even exists.

🙁
Hopefully the same doesn't happen to their operating system

...hopefully it won't be a bad operating system...

Chrome isn't out for Macs yet, otherwise I would try it. :/

Yeah, recently changed from Firefox to Chrome... no complaints so far. Both have definitely been better than my experiences with IE as well. Haven't used safari too much, and have never really used Opera at all. Anyone willing to shed some light on it?

Same here. I also find safari easier to use (than firefox) except when I need firefox for compatability issues. And then I end up with stupid problems and switch back to firefox for a little while, lol.

I tried Opera for a while, but I just couldn't get used to it. I was a diehard Firefox user for years but I tried out Chrome just to see what it was like, and now I'm addicted. Every time I use Firefox now I get pissed that I have to enter Google searches into a separate space, lol.

Also, I have the same theme for my Gmail and for Chrome! How cool is that.

Switched to Chrome for 4 months. Just switched back to Firefox. I'm happier with the fox!

The thing about Opera that really bothered me was that it started out as you having to actually *pay* for it. Later on they moved on to this terrible "banner ads if you don't pay for it" deal

I don't know if it's still like that though...

Firefox doesn't seem too great on Macs from experience. I tried to switch to FF before on a Mac but it was a little buggy sometimes and wouldn't load a few pages so I went back to Safari. I'd imagine it's great on Windows which is why there's so much support for it.

It's been free for the last 5 years or so now. It has the best combo of features/speed/usability.

I personally like IE, but since I was a ***** and bought a mac I use Safari.

I'm an IE fan. I've tried switching to Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and even Safari. But the same thing happens everytime - I just go back to IE. I can't stand when something doesn't work in a browser - it makes me go right back. Also IE tends to use the least amount of system resources (Firefox is a huge resource hog)

I probably would use Chrome if it had adblock. I also like FF's bookmarking system better.

I like FF extensions, but can be a pain if you install one that leads to a memory leak. Then FF really becomes a resource hog.

Opera is amazing. It is a shame it has such a small user base.

FireFox for the win. I thought I would change my browser to Chrome, but that thing seems to crash a lot... I like the incognito mode that it has though.

If Chrome would work on macs I would be all over it. I love pretty much anything google puts out. Not like an automatic fan boy thing, it's just, pretty much everything they put out works so well.

Like google wave, I love how it works so far. I'm going to invite all the people in my lab to join including my PI so she can communicate with everybody easier, instead of CCing people and whatnot.

Not a lot of love for IE... sad day. 🙁

Never really liked FireFox, tried Opera once, haven't really checked out the others... Internet Explorer's plenty good for me, and if it ain't broke, you don't fix it. 😉

Iceweasel all the way. ahem I mean Firefox all the way. Nothing like having 6 home pages come up when you launch it.

Netscape Navigator 3.0 was by far my favorite all-time browser. I love the integrated-email program. And of course the "N" with the comets. Netscape went downhill when Netscape Communicator came out (though their WYSIWYG web page editor was awesome). IE 4.0 came out and took over the market.

Mozilla Firefox is my favorite browser. Mozilla was always the backbone of Netscape as far as I can remember.

Google Chrome for Mac is out. I am so trying it.

Awwww, come on, IE is the best! 👍😀

Firefox. Hands down.
