I was just wondering what some of your favorite keyboard shortcuts are, for example some of mine:

For macs:

Command-Shift-3 - Screen Capture
Command-Shift-4 - Select Screen Capture
Control-Command-Shift-3 (or 4) -Same as above but save to clipboard
F11 - Show desktop

For PC:

Win-D - Show Desktop
Win-M - Minimize all open windows (Shift-win-D to undo)
Win-E - Open explorer
Win-F - Open Find
Win-R - Open Run
Alt-Tab - Shift between windows
Alt-F4 - (It's a secret, Try It!)

In Mozilla
Ctrl-T - Open new tab
Shift-Ctrl-T - Open previously closed tab
Ctrl-Shift-Del - Clear cache (includes browsing history, cookies and several other things )

Not really a keyboard shortcut, but in options under the homepage website if you add a " | " you can make firefox open several webpages everytime you launch it (for example "www.msn.com | 64.233.169.147 | forums.studentdoctor.net" Opens MSN, SDN Forums, and 64.233.169.147 everytime I launch Firefox)


These are the one's I use most, I want to know what shortcuts you use to save time (and tell us what it does).
 
Firefox

When having multiple tabs and lazy to use the mouse, use Ctrl+PageUp or Ctrl+PageDown to navigate the tabs .. Ctrl + W to close the current tab.
 
lol, why is this in the Pre-Medical section?

Anyways, i love win+tab.

Hold win and click tab over and over, it's the coolest thing for vista and up.
Not sure if it works on XP.

I have a bunch of random hotkeys custom for mine too.
win+alt+sdn opens this website.
 
Ctrl-F makes life easier

if you ever come across such a thing, call me first.

It would be amazing if we could ctrl f in our minds. I would say most of the knowledge i;ve gained over the years is locked away in some corner in my mind and its too difficult to recall such details. But it would be nice if I can recall on demand anything i may have come across in life.

this is actually what they are working on in china.


ever watch dollhouse? they have tech that could sort of do this for us.

I have never seen it but i just youtubed a trailer of it, seems interesting I may have to give it a go.

humanity never ceases to amaze me with its advances, and by humanity i mean China.

i'm a girl....everything is clean, all the time.

clean!=organized

i have a photographic memory only for where i last saw stuff, actually, which is handy, but it's really really precise which is not handy bc sometimes i can't figure out where my mind is showing me it is.

i should maybe cut back on the coffee.
 
Yeah was responding more about the guy who made the joke....
That anyone who is hoping to reproduce in the future would make a joke like that scares me for our future.

oh okay hahah it's not as uncommon as you think

i actually had to make an agreement with a (premed) friend of mine that he would not talk about any bodily fns ever while i was around.

boys are ....yeah, kind of gross sometimes.

Haha, lack of research leads to....

I've had my undergrad degree for some time now...oh sorry, no I didn't fail any finals.

My fear is based on the fact that you thought that was in any way at least somewhat:
1.)Funny
2.)Witty
3.)Attractive
4.)Appropriate
5.)Funny
6.)Funny

Edit: And you think you will one day reproduce using those jokes....
Edit Edit: Wasn't really being that serious there chief.
