Here's what I got from Wayne state:

"We are sure that with your credentials, you will most likely be able to attend medical school elsewhere. We wish you luck in your future endeavors."

Number one, didn't anyone teach them not to use passive voice, and number two - ouch!

My first rejection was very early on actually 6 days after I sent in my AMCAS to Stanford. It was a thin envelope that must have been sent the second after the committee looked at my application and stamped it with a huge red VOID on it. I understand that I will get rejections, in fact, moreso than acceptances, but damn 6 days! My interpretation: We hated your application so much that we wanted to make sure you would definitely know how much we hate you. We hope we have greatly disappointed you and rendered you a husk of your prior humanity. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

What the heck?? You got some mad love from Wayne, at least they said you would be able to attend somewhere else.

All they said was "we cannot evaluate your application further"
I guess they thought if i was going to get rejected presecondary to wayne, i couldnt get in anywhere!

By far the most annoying rejections are those that come in window envelopes. For 75 bucks you'd think they could print up an envelope separately.

LOL!! I can sympathize with this one. I'm a UF alum and got rejected from their med school too. Whatever, now I'm in a much better place anyway. Go Tulane!!!

I think the more important question here (not "What The F?") is WHY the **** did your friend bother applying to a school that states outright that it does not accept MD applicants from out-of-state? The letter should have been as follows:

Dear applicant (name intentionally omitted),

You have been rejected from this school without any consideration of your application by the admissions committee. To find out why, take a moment and read our admissions policies, which you apparently neglected to do before you applied. Go away.
