Fee Assist. Program (FAP) for AMCAS/MCAT: Do med school see I utilized this service?

My family is right around the "Poverty Line" as the federal government has defined. I read on AMCAS' website that there is a Fee Assistance Program that helps pay fees associated with the Mcat and Amcas.

It would be very nice to take advantage of this opportunity, and I just wonder if med schools will see this. I can't imagine them looking at my application negatively because I used FAP, but the med school committee decision process is one of those wonders of the world... no one really knows what's going on.

I think medical schools know you used FAP if they offer a secondary fee waiver. The FAP reduces the cost of MCAT and AMCAS automatically, but some schools will also waive seondary gees for you. Those that do this, know automatically you have FAP or will ask you to submit proof you were awarded it. The schools that don't waive your secondary fee....I don't know if they know or not.
