how do they use your parents financial info to evaluate my family's info.
do they add them together and consider that if it's above 300% of the poverty line or what? that seems unreasonable since my parents need their money to live too..

Preeeeeetty sure that's how it works. It sucks. I'm 25, married and my husband and I have a kid. WE qualify, but it wouldn't let me submit my application without my mother's financial info as well, and I was denied because of it. Fan-*******-tastic.

I e-mailed them about it, and they basically said that they don't care if you're an independent/dependent student like how FAFSA designates you. 👎thumbdown👎thumbdown👎

Yeah, sorry about your luck. Not even my wife, 2 children, and retired parents could get me Fee Assistance. Total BS.
