Fee for additional schools after submitting AMCAS?

I have done a lot of searching and could only find threads that were almost ten years old discussing this.

I want to submit my application today but still be able to add schools while it is being verified. The 2015 AMCAS instruction manual seems to imply an additional fee will be charged to do this: "There is a fee for electing to apply to additional medical schools." I cannot find information about this fee anywhere. The manual makes it seem that this fee is in addition to the typical $36 fee for designating a school.

AMCAS telephone support is closed for the day. Can anyone weigh in on this?

$36 is the correct number, no matter when you decide to add them.

Nope, no penalty. I did the same thing. Just added 7 more schools the other day and it was just $36 per new school.
