They request a SAR from this year. Not this academic year, but this year as in 2012.

Do they really mean they want my 2012-2013 SAR?

Additionally, when I was trying to find my answer in past threads, it noticed people mentioned you cannot apply until May 1st 2012. I don't see this anywhere on their fee waiver page. Can I get some clarification, please?

Yes, this year. You should be completing a FAFSA this Spring based upon your 2011 tax return, and once it is finished you will get a SAR....that is what they need.

As for timing, you may be able to submit but they won't process until May.
