if we got aacomas fee waiver, how do we get waiver for the secondaries. all the secondaries i filled out so far don't have the option of choosing aacomas waiver. should i call the schools for this?

of the once I completed so far, SOMA and LMU waived their fees. Nova and TouroNV don't seem to have the option despite that they are supposed to, based on AACOMAS Information book.

SOMA worked for me...CCOM and AZCOM I had to call and they asked I email the verification that AACOMAS gave me. NOVA and MSUCOM I'm still working on

Each school will have a different process for applying the fee waiver. It's best to contact them individually. A quick email will suffice.

Thank you all for the replies! i will email each school's admission office.

Nova didn't waiver their fee last year, but this year the college information book says they do.

Nobody is "supposed to." It's all up to the school. You need to e-mail every school and request a fee waiver. From last application cycle I know TUCOM-CA, Western and Midwestern campuses offer fee waivers on their secondaries.

Do you need to request the refund, or do they automatically do it?

As per the email I received from them:

"Thank you for your interest in Nova Southeastern University (NSU).

Below are the steps that would allow for your NSU application fee to be waived:
• Complete your AACOMAS application
• Complete your NSU application, you must pay the $50 application fee.
• AACOMAS will send a list of all applicants eligible for an application fee waiver to the admissions office.
• If your name is on the list, it gets forwarded to the Bursars office to reverse the NSU application charge off of your account.
• Depending on when the list is received from AACOMAS, this can take 60 days to process (estimation).
• Once you have a credit, you can contact the Bursars office at 954-262-5200 and they will advise you on the timeframe when you will receive the funds."

Thanks for letting us know! I was waiting for a response from Nova. I'll just go ahead and submit the secondary then.

I about to submit my secondary for AZCOM and it doesn't show that they accept fee waiver. The only options I got is to either pay with CC or Echeck.

Can someone who has experience with this help guide me?

No problem!

Also, for anyone applying to LECOM-B, the CIB says they don't accept the fee waiver but I contacted the admissions office and they just processed my application without payment. All I had to do was send them the confirmation of my AACOMAS fee waiver.

They get a list sent to them with all the fee waivers on it. I had to contact them and request that it be waived then they confirmed it based on the list and the AACOMAS confirmation

Does it work for LECOM-E?

e-mail them and then they add a new button called "fee waiver" to the application.
