Does anyone have any tips ono things we should be doing now in order to secure a good pain fellowship down the road? Any helpful sites? What kind of criteria do programs base their decision on? Do USMLE scores factor into the decision? Any advice would greatly be appreciated?

1. read up on the Pain Medicine forum
2. refer to www.painrounds.com
3. start reading american academy of pain medicine's journal
4. publish there if you can

or at least find someone on faculty who practices in this area and get familiar with them
