Does anyone here have experience with Ferris's optometry college? I'm somewhat fond of the idea of the location, but I've never visited, and I wonder how it (and the campus, generally) is.

Thanks.

The campus is beautiful. I believe Ferris State University has around 20,000-25,000 students. There is a police force located in the center of the campus. It is located in a small town/community and the campus really isn't spread over a great distance. They are in the process of constructing a state of the art optometric facility starting in 2010. I wonder how diverse their clinical's clientele is, being that it isn't located in a major city? I would not expect you to be exposed to the ocular pathologies that PCO, SUNY, ICO, SCO, et cetera would expose you to.

I visited there in the summer of 2008 and have an interview this December. It really is a wonderful place, and if you like a small student to professor ratio, MCO is the place to go.

...did I mention everyone there is super friendly and very professional?
