Good luck, man. Also, random, but I gotta tell you that I always enjoy your posts. 👍

Well played sir.

Soooooo fierce

Oh, what the ****?! That's just not right, man. Just not right.

It is not. Just started my 2nd week of 4 straight on L&D. Then have 3 weeks of clinic and then 1 week of exams.

OB is f'in disgusting. Already tired of it

What the ****? That's absurd. We had a 6 week OB rotation. Two weeks clinic, two weeks L&D, 2 weeks surgery.

Yeah I have 1 week of gyn which is basically all clinic except for 1 day of surg. The schedule is awful. Only saving grace is that I get all of my L&D out of the way 1st

Just 3 weeks of Psychation between me and the promised land...

2.5 more weeks.

Then 3 sub-internships.

At least they'll be in the fields I'm interested in.

3rd

year

will

not

die................

Let's call it 3 more weeks. Never have I been so glad to go to a 3 year program!!

I'm just happy I made it to second year. Man I hate book work.

2 more weeks of O&G, two weeks of revision then end of year exams 🙁

6 weeks of surgery and then Step 2 study. I can't wait - sleep in, study in my pjs, a total lack of people yelling at me for not knowing obscure anatomical knowledge...

I can rectify that, what's your address?

the clinical shelf exams still require a good amount of book work

Doing particularly well on the shelf exams (usually) requires a good amount of book work, at least. I've taken several of them cold.

Dang. Call me naive but I thought/hoped you would glean all the info you needed for shelf exams just by putting all your effort into doing well on the related rotation. Oh well, at least it's interesting stuff.

I don't usually stoop to emoticons, but

This is almost never the case, especially on surgery (where I'm not sure I learned much of anything that was on the shelf during my day to day work on my rotation).

My studying took a major hit as far as my dedication to taking notes and trying to remember every single thing and whatnot. My shelf exams were still good, but could've been better had I put in more effort.

No shelf exam talk in the "woo, we're MS4s" thread. 👎

One of your better posts.

Also, me = new third year in a few days. Admit it -- you're jealous. It's okay.

Just started 3rd year. I can see it already, I'll be in tears begging for mercy soon.

You don't get it now, but you will. You've bought into the lie that 3rd year is so much better than basic sciences and that if you can just make it to 3rd year, you'll be much happier.

I think everything is a lie now.... "nothing is true, everything is permitted" *jumps off of a ledge 100ft off the ground with a bird circling*
1 more year and I'll be like you guys

I'm going to be starting third year soon as well. I know I don't completely understand the suckiness of it because I have yet to experience it, but I'm for sure not looking forward to it. I do not understand why most of my classmates are so excited about third year starting. Of course I've wanted to go into Rads since I started med school sooo ... that may something about how I feel about the clinical aspect of medicine. haha
