Hi All,
I have completed filling out my coursework but am going over everything before submitting. One question that keeps popping up is what technically qualifies as a lab and what doesn't? I went to Univ. of Michigan-Ann Arbor where a lot of classes had what were called 'discussion sections' that often incorporated quizzes, papers, assignments etc. separate from lecture. However, these grades were then added to your lecture grade to make one overall grade for both 3 and 4 credit classes. If these discussion sections were in psych, bio, and stats courses, do you need to list it as a lecture and lab or is AMCAS fine with the overall grade being denoted as solely lecture based? I understand that this doesn't apply to the hard-and-fast pre-med courses (bio, gen chem, physics, orgo), I'm just trying to figure out how to navigate through the grey areas of the application.
