Filling out Fee Assistance Program but not sure how to answer this question?

Hi all,

so this is the question:
Was any housing and/or food assistance provided to you or paid on your behalf by family, friends, an employer or other entity (other than Financial Aid or welfare) in 2015?

I live at home with my parents so do I answer yes?? If I do, then it asks these three questions:


Enter the total number of months that free rent and/or food was received *
Amount of money you would have paid monthly for rent *
Amount of money you would have spent monthly for food *


I have no idea what I would put for these questions, how would I even quantify these costs??

Do you not know the cost of living in your area? If you were not living with your parents what would it cost you? If your parents were renting your room to someone else what would be that rent? What are your avg monthly costs on food that your parents cover?

These aren't complicated questions, and they are very quantifiable. If you have no idea how much it costs your parents to support you, you need to fill this out with them.
