Rumor is he charges a flat cash fee for basically a month of anything they want. Norco, Vicodin, Oxy's, etc. It is usually written for the maximum dosage for one month. Most stores around his office area have refused to fill any of his scripts. Stores more distant still do. Their point of view is that the doctor is innocent until proven guilty and as long as his DEA# is still valid we should fill it. So, knowing what you know about the doctor, if a patient came in with a script like that (and was always on time with refilling, never early) would you fill it?

Rumors, rumors. Sounds like a party though...woohoo!

If we allow rumors to transcend the rumor mill and affect actual legal/clinical decisions, we're all screwed.

DEA is valid, medical license is still valid, and scripts are verified/legit. Fill that sucker.

A rumor is like a circle, it goes on forever. It's not like a triangle, triangle have corners. It's like a circle.

If the physician can make a quick buck being little more than a corner drug dealer...why the hell can't we?

This doctor has previously had his medical license taken away in the past for non-therapeutically prescribing narcotic pain medications. Apparently this guy has "connections" since he was able to get his license reinstated again so quickly.

Or the charges were found to be false and his license was reinstated...

ugh, that's a difficult question.

I'd just send them away and say I'm not comfortable with filling these RXs. Any "patient" who isn't really on the up n up isn't going to make a big to-do since they're likely pulling something shady.....

btw, how do you even find out which docs are under investigation? Cuz I have a few docs myself I'm wondering about... (see my TIRED thread..)

I wouldn't. You fill one and suddenly you've got a line out the door with the same crap. It's the same as with the cocktail prescriptions.
