Hi.
Very worried about how this can affect my standing with programs in terms of getting an interview:
I applied for my Step 1 in my final med. school year but because of last minute changes in my clerkship schedule I couldn't take it and my eligibility period expired. This means I didn't even schedule the test with prometric, I simply let the elegibility period expire. I reapplied and took it, passed with 250+. My USMLE transcript states only one date for my Step 1, my score and "passed" on it.
How will this be seen by program directors and coordinators ?
Do programs get the same transcript we get ?
How will filters pick this up ? Will a filter pick it up as two Step 1 attempts and automatically discard my application ?
Very concerned how this will affect my chances of matching. Not even that, my chances of even getting interviews !!!
Thanks and good luck to all.
