Hi guys, this is my first SD thread.

I just had an interview on Sept. 20, however, I received an email last week saying that my admission decision has been post-poned. What should I do in the mean time before they re-review my file in Jan.?

- If/when you receive grades for your current semester send them to the school

- If you've participated in any meaningful activities since your interview send an update describing it

- A letter of intent would be inappropriate at this point since you haven't officially been waitlisted yet.

If i want to send a letter updating them, should it be in the format of email or actually a letter?

should i call in advance and ask the admission or should i just write an email or snail mail lol

Schools usually have their policy posted somewhere on their webpage (who to direct them to, if they even accept updates, etc). If there's nothing relevant on their website it couldn't hurt to call the admissions staff first.

Definitely call the admissions office if you are confused (but make sure you can't easily find it on the website first).

Some schools like to be sent stuff, and some schools don't. Everything asagacious has said is good stuff to send, but make sure you figure out how to send it to the school. More importantly, figure out if they want it at all.
