i have a friend who works in manhattan but i think he's too busy to let me stay with him 🙁 so i'm going to get a hotel way out in ny since the ones in manhattan are so expensive and just ride the subway there.

only been to nyc once... want to walk around times square and go to the met and everything again :]

im so pissed off, I contacted Columbia 2 weeks ago asking them wuts up with my application and they said its in review...I submitted my AADSAS application May 28th which is pretty damn early so i dont know wuts going on. They are starting to make me really worried 🙁

Book the hotels that are listed on the Columbia's official website!

The majority of hotels listed are priced at around $300~400 per one night!
U will get discounted as a guest to Columbia University, though!

Anyway, trust me, the least expensive one is still over $100.

As I am a Korean, I would go to Korea town in Manhattan. If u really want to enjoy Korean stuff, just get a taxi and hang around "Flushing" in Queens. But, I don't recommend u to wander around that place at night!
(One way-->$30~40 for taxi)

Other than that, I don't know much about NYC.
Just, I remember there are many things u can enjoy in NYC. (Movie, club, food, opera house, cinema, etc 😉) -------> EVENING ENTERTAINMENTS

Now, I know Columbia university has a mission to provide high quality & comprehensive care to the community in Northern Manhattan (Washington Heights/Inwood, and Harlem)

I submitted my AADSAS May 16th and took the DAT in June. ( My GPA is 3.9 and DAT 22)I called Columbia two weeks ago and found that they didn't have my DAT score because they didn't update it. So I wasted almost three months without knowing that they were missing my score. They said they were going to review soon, but well, haven't heard from the school yet. Definitely I am so frustrated.

I called the school a month ago to check if they have recieved my DAT score. I found out that they have my DAT score but not reference letters (which were sent to the school in June). I called three times (every Wednesday) and finally they have letters last week.

Once your file is transferred to the screening committee (actually just one person), it only takes 3~5 days until you hear from them.
