Finally I have luck! Found a job while shadowing today :D

I've had the worst luck trying to find dentists to shadow.

I called and went to different dental offices more than 1,000 times. I found one dentist, and he seemed too busy and it was just too weird shadowing him because he was quite and always ignored me! so I stopped after 30 hours of shadowing.

Found another dentist to shadow (an orthodontist), and he was cool and the staff. But when I went back they said shadowing was only allowed once a month after they told me it was totally fine to go back and shadow as many times as I wanted... WT** was that?

Then I didn't really care about shadowing anymore since I've been exposed by dentistry all my life through my aunt. But since I don't do anything but study for the DAT this summer, I found this dentist and talked to him and he hired me on the spot today to work with him while I was telling him I wanted to job shadow. Then, today I did everything in the office, handling instruments after each procedure, developing x-rays, etc from 9-6pm... I am exhausted because I didnt planned on it but oh well... I got a cool job, another good letter of evaluation from a dentist, extreme exposure and experience. 😀

awesome i got lucky and found a dentist who is only 30yrs old. He is single so he is just like one of my friends. I go riding in his G35 and he blasts up the rap music 😀
