At 9:32 PM Pacific time, I received the message that said "Thank you for submitting your AMCAS....Have a nice day!" Not that it matters since I'm taking the MCAT again in August so it'll be collecting dust till October.

My grand total...... $1000 exactly...I didn't mean for it to be exact. I applied to 29 schools. Is that too much? I feel like it is. But they are all schools I would really want to attend (with good out of state numbers according the my MSAR book) if I don't get into a UC here in Cali.

Anyone else apply to that many? Someone make me feel better...please?

Not to make you paranoid because I'm sure its not a HUGE deal...but the schools you apply to see your whole amcas app, meaning they see how many schools you apply to and which ones. I've heard that applying to a billion schools can look a bit...um, suspicious

Don't feel bad. I applied to 44 last year as a cali resident. My b/f did 43. 😀

But then again, my mcat score was on the lower side and I sent in my amcas late, so I knew my chances were smaller. I just didn't want to have to go through the process again so I went all out this time. If schools do know which schools you applied to....they sure didn't relay it to my interviewers.

yeah I have heard they don't see what schools you have applied to. although some schools ask you to send a copy of your AMCAS app along with your secondary just in case something happens to it. in which case, would you not send along the page which shows which schools you have applied to? 😕

Yeah, schools do NOT see where else you applied to, so don't trip on that. I applied to 33 on my AMCAS last year. It's costly, but heck, I only want to apply once. Don't worry, you'll be fine. Oh, if you start working on some secondaries when you're just waiting around for your MCAT scores, you won't be that far behind. So try to get the secondary questions from someone so you can work on them beforehand. Good luck!

Thank you for the much needed encouragement! Back to watching "the real world: san diego reunion"..... 😀
