Hi,
I am about to graduate and have WAY too much debt (300Kish), due to undergrad loans and an extra year at a private medical school due to a maternity leave. I'm wondering if any of you have worked with a financial aid advisor independent from your school, as our schools financial aid dept. is very hard to communicate with, but with this much debt, I would like some advice in regards to how to approach it, as the interest is going to accrue quite quickly I'm sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I have not worked with one personally, but it would seem that your school would know best about your personal situation. As for how to approach it, it depends on your situation. What resiency are you doing, and can you afford IBR vs. standard repayment. Obviously private loans make things more difficult and it depends on the interest rate.
