Has anyone received their financial aid packages from Loyola or Univ. of Rochester? I'm really tired of waiting of them. I've received two letters or emails already saying that the schools know that I'm holding more then one acceptance and that I should make up my mind soon. How am I supposed to do that if I don't know how much it's going to cost?!?! Both Loyola and Rochester said I should receive my packages by mid-April. Has anyone heard?

Has anyone gotten their packages from University of South Carolina, Medical University of South Carolina, or Georgetown yet??

what if we receive them after may 15? does that mean we'll have to decide and withdraw certain acceptances without knowing how much aid we're getting?

yep, unless you come to an agreement with the schools, but most aren't willing to wait on someone elses FA deal...

this is such a load of crap. how the hell am i supposed to know where i'm going to go if i don't know how much it's going to cost.

I called UIC today about FA. They told me my file was complete and I should be expecting the award letter in the next 2-3 weeks. I think that's going to be cutting it pretty close to the May 15th deadline. Hope that helps (at least a little).

I received my FA package from Loyola almost a month ago. To the best of my knowledge, it depends on when you turned in your FAFSA and mailed them all of your financial info. I completed all the paperwork by the middle of March, and they had granted me all of my loans/grants within the week! I know, I was pretty impressed. But, if you've had all of your stuff in for a while, I think you should call the office of Financial Aid. Basically, unless you are from a pretty disadvantaged background, you can expect to have a $50K budget, and get most of that in loans.

i sent in my fafsa and loyola's financial aid package about a month ago. then i called the office to varify that it was received and the guy who answered the phone wasn't very friendly - though it was completed. i still haven't heard anything.🙁

and i totally don't care anymore............i just got my package from rochester and i got a scholarship that makes it just as expensive as my state school! rochester here i come😀 😀 😀

I just received my financial aid award from Pitt, and it was pretty horrible. 42,627.00 expected family contribution! And not a penny in grants...

I had just decided that Pitt was where I wanted to go too. Figures something like this would come along to screw it all up again.

I don't think that calculating the allotted financial aid for a single student takes a significant amount of time, although I imagine doing so for hundreds may.
