(1) How soon should we fill out the FAFSA form?

I've been accepted to a couple of med schools, but I am still waiting on a few that are on the top of my list. (2) Should I just fill out the FAFSA form now? or should I wait until my top choice accepts me (hopefully 😳)? Any help would be great.

(3) Also, will FAFSA show me both subsidized and unsubsidized loans that are eligible for me? (4) Do they also give grants (ie: pell)? (5) What other grant/loan giving services would you suggest?

For 1 and 2. You can fill them in now and send them to the schools you have been accepted to. If you get accepted to your top choice you can send it to that school. I am pretty sure there is no problem w/ this. As for 3,4, and 5, I do not know.

1. Fill out FAFSA now and send it to all the schools that you might be attending. There is no harm in sending this info to schools if you do not end up matriculating there.

2. Yes, fill it out now. Make sure you have done your 2007 taxes, though. You will need this info to fill everything out.

3. Yes.

4. If you are eligible for grants at the federal level, FAFSA will determine that. There are other grants that are offered through the state and that will be up to your school to tell you if you're eligible.

5. You can always check out scholarship programs. Check your workplace, undergrad institution, clubs, volunteer organizations, your hometown, city or state for scholarships. There is definitely money out there for the taking . . . you just have to find it!

Good Luck! :luck:
