I've heard that some employers can help finance your PharmD degree if you work for them while at school or after you graduate. Does anyone know which employers do this and what kind of application process you need to go through to get this type of financial aid? Thanks!

Do a search and you'll find a ton of info. Also check out the websites of the respective companies. Here is a quick rundown of what I know:

CVS-$5000/year, last 2 years

Walgreens-They have 2 programs. The progressive program pays $1500 for P1 and increases by $500/year after that. The location-based program pays $5000 the last 2 years but you have to work in select areas.

Target- $3000/year, no strings attached

Safeway: $10000/year, final 2 years

Don't know about the other ones, maybe someone can chip in.

I'm trying to get an internship at a local teaching hospital and they pay full tuition ($12,000) a year, but I have to work for them for one year after I graduate for each year they pay my way. Plus the hourly rate is better than Wags and the like as an intern. I hope they hire me!!!! What a great way to go through pharmacy school. Ask LOTS of questions and remember, all they can do is say "no". In most locations, they need you more than you need them.

My hospital is giving me $5000 per year (tuition is only $8600 here. Yeah for state schools). Anyhow, I have to work for them a specific amount of time for each year they pay me, as well. Really is a great option if you are able to find something similar.
