You should contact your financial aid advisor at your school.Oh jeez. I didn't think I would get in this cycle so I didn't pay attention to it. Am I totally screwed?
Am I too late to start? I just got into school a few weeks ago and I'm just now starting the process and waiting for a FSA ID.
Not for federal aid, no. Complete your FAFSA and then contact your school to see if you are still able to apply for institutional funding (if offered).
Will there be grants awarded other than loans?
This is completely dependent upon your school. Most schools have spent a good portion of their institutional funding at such a late date, but it's possible that your school sets money aside for late accepts. You need to work with your financial aid office directly if you have questions.
First, congratulations on your acceptance. Second, fill out the FAFSA ASAP, and call your school's financial aid coordinator. Most schools have a dedicated coordinator for the dental school, so call student services and make an appointment as soon as you can (before your break ends...)
