I have decent stats ( 3.44, DAT 20/18) and I have applied to eight schools. So far no acceptances or rejections so I am still hopeful. Should I go ahead and apply for financial aid for dental school even though I have not been accepted anywhere? If yes, how?

And, have many rejection letters been sent out?
Even though I am not IN, can I take any solace in the fact that technically, I'm not OUT anywhere yet. To date, I've attended one interview (Temple) and I have two invites for March (NOVA and the Case alternate list). 😕

Oiy, im in the same boat as you. Temple interview done, Case Alternate List. My fault for applying late...

I got serious heartburn waiting for the Temple results to come out... they're meeting on the 15th to decide our fates correct?

As far as I know, LMI, if we get good news we should hear something next week. If we don't the wait continues. Are you going to apply for financial aid without an acceptance?

I hope the boat we're in isn't named TITANIC. 🙂 🙂 🙂

As to the question about applying for financial aid, I would contact the schools financial aid offices where you have interviews, and ask them what they advise about filling out your fafsa. At my interviews, they encouraged us to fill out the fafsa early to ensure the least amount of hassle as possible. The only specific information on the form is the school code which designates what institution will process your loan application.
So, I would ask the respective offices what they would recommend to use for that piece of information. Maybe you'll just have to wait until you're accepted to fill out the form😀 😀 😀
Good luck!
