Hello all... just finished my interview last week at FUHS/CMS and honestly I can say that I'm really impressed. The school provided this amazing continental breakfast/tea/coffee & the faculty was SO nice! There are many research opportunities and the anatomy facilities are truly state of the art. The med school students I spoke to were really happy there and they all say that the faculty is really involved with the students. Also its not that far from downtown Chicago and Waukegan/North Chicago is not a bad place to live! I honestly love the area

I soooooo hope I get in there, Finch is definetly my first choice 🙂

going to Finch for my interview this upcoming tuesday! wish me luck! any tips? 😀

Just be honest and 'be yourself' try not to get too nervous, the faculty really has a great nack for making one feel comfortable.

In one of my interviews I spoke about the health care systems in other countries.

so you have 2 interviews? both with faculty?

I don't know how amazing the continental breakfast was, but I agree with you on most other points. I was positively impressed by the facilities, especially the mock doctor's office and the wired anatomy lab. The new dorms are really nice too. My student host was amazing, and she seemed really happy there. But most of the other students just gawked at me and the other interviewees as we passed by. Interestingly, our tour guide commuted from downtown Chicago, which can take over an hour. I thought that was a little strange. She had gained admission throught their AP program, so I thought it was inappropriate to have her give our tour. She couldn't comment on the MD admissions process or the first year med curriculum (AP curriculum is different). Good luck!

Hey mackaikai,
I like your signature.

Go to COMP. Forget about those jabroni MD schools. 🙂

What does COPM stand for? is it an osteopathic med school?
