How many seconds does it take for an object to traverse a semicircle of radius 2m, if its speed is piem/s?

time = distance/ speed

time = 2/pie

since pie = 3.14, I assumed 2/3.14 = ~ .6667 roughly two-thirds

but answer was 2 seconds.

this is what tbr solution said

but I dont know why pie would also be on the numerator if the distance was given as 2 meters?

Please note that the total distance traveled is equal to the length of the semicircle. So since L=2πr we must have L1/2=2π2/2=2π so since ω=dθ/dt we must have π=2π/τ so t=2s!

I think you missed the "pi" in the formula.
it is time=2pi/pi = 2s
