Has anyone else applied to the weekend program at Findlay? I was wondering if anyone has heard back about interviews or applied last year and knows roughly about when you should hear back?

I applied to Findlay's weekend program as well. It isn't my first choice since it's a 3 year weekend program, but I would hate to not get accepted anywhere and wait another year to apply again. I am interested in more information about their interviews/acceptance letter time frames. Good luck with your application!

I just received an email today for interviews! Good luck!

br0T_hopeful, have you heard anything back yet in terms of acceptance?

No I haven't. I actually did not end up attending the interview since it was 2 hours from my house and I had already got accepted to my number 1 & 2 choice. They said individuals could still be accepted without going to the interview so I will let you know if I hear anything.

Congrats! I'm anxious to get started.

Congrats! I also received my acceptance letter Thursday!

Did either one of you guys apply to Kettering as well? Are either one of you taking the physics course over the summer?

Congrats to everybody accepted! I was also accepted to the weekend program but have a question for those attending. I know it is a program in which you can work during school but the tuition is over $83,000. Adding the thousands more on books, supplies, etc I am curious if this is a worthwhile investment.

I am sure some attending are adults who have accumulated more wealth than me and are not as concerned with the cost but does anybody else have an opinion on this? Sorry to be a pessimist about money it is just a big deciding factor for me.

Congrats to you! I did apply to Kettering, but I didn't get in... but Findlay was my first choice. I am taking the Physics course over the summer.

My plan is to work while in school and save as much as possible. From there, hopefully get a job as a travel OT as I hear they pay really well. Another option could be to look at companies who have a loan forgiveness programs, such as the VA hospitals.

If you do plan to take out loans, these are some options 🙂

When/how did you hear back from Kettering? Findlay was my first choice as well, but I would like to know Ketterings decision before I have to make a commitment.

They sent an email and I believe I received it 2 weeks ago.

I did apply to kettering but was denied and probably for the better reason. This program will most likely work out better for me. I am taking the physics course this summer. I'm trying to get all the financial aid under control and figure out what I'm going to need and then where I'm going to be staying since I will be traveling.

Graduate programs are typically more expensive. I still have a significant amount due from my bachelors and I've been working since graduation in 2011. I know that staying in the state system work wise will be my best option. they have a forgiveness program as well as the VA hospitals. It's a great investment but you have to remember Findlay is a small private school . Just a heads up OSU wasn't exactly much cheaper... I think their per hour was 783 which I mean is like 80 bucks less.

The other two programs I was accepted to, both being 2.5 year MOT programs, are roughly $32k & $40k total. I was not trying to be rude, I am happy and congratulate all those accepted to the weekend program.

I was simply wondering how other students plan on getting through the financial aspect of grad school/expensive programs like this one. Now I see most are hoping to work and or look for loan forgiveness options. Best regards in your future endeavors!

No need to apologize. I didn't take any offense and I'm sorry if you felt that way about my statement. I was trying to give an example.

Congrats on your other two acceptances! How great!!!
