Fine to quit clinical volunteering that I put anticipated hours for?

I have a hospital volunteering opportunity where I had around 100 hours after 7 months and I put down anticipated hours for it due as I applied this cycle. I recently started a medical assistant full time job and won't be able to make this volunteering anymore.

Will I need to notify schools that I am quitting this volunteer due to my new job? Will it look bad on a reapplication if I quit it despite putting down anticipated hours (I know schools like to see long term commitment).

Thank you!
