Finished DAT! Low Quant.. Reasonable Everything Else Please Help!!

Hello Everyone!!

Its been a long two months but I just finished the August 11th DAT and was just wondering about my chances of getting into theses schools. I will be applying to: Boston University, Tufts, Uconn (out of state), NYU, and Penn State. My scores are:

PAT: 19
QR: 14
RC 20
Bio: 20
GC: 21
OC: 22
TS: 21
AA: 19

Should I retake the DAT? I know that my QC is extremely low, but I was wondering if schools would even look at my application (because I heard there are minimums where they want 17+ on all sections). I have a 3.95 GPA. With 100+ hrs at a dental office and 40+ hrs in the ER at a hospital. What are my chances of getting into these schools?

Also, if anyone needs study advice or questions regarding study material feel free to ask-- I used them all (or most of them). I used:

I do not think the quant. reasoning will hurt you too bad. I have similar stats as you, with a 15 on the quant. reasoning. I got into 5 schools and will be attending columbia. I did have a higher AA though. I think that might be the only thing that might hurt you, if you were at or over 20 on AA i think those would be fine scores. I might call/email the school and see if the QR would hurt you. When I called about mine, most schools said that was the last thing they looked at...

Thanks! That's very reassuring. May I ask what was your AA? Anyone else in a similar situation? I was also wondering, I saw someone post that this year there was a 1-2 pts drop in the QR and that they were going to mail letters to all the schools. I hope this is true and not just a rumor. Can anyone confirm?

Just wondering how much time you put into QR..I take it soon and put alot more time into the other topics than i did QR? Just wondering...thanks 🙂

your qr is on the low side, but your gpa will probably save you. good luck!
