Hi everyone, i've read posts, so i thought i would give some feedback...

I also have a couple of questions, so for anyone who has taken the exam already, can you please answer them below?

BIO: 22
GChem: 23
Orgo: 21
RC: 20
QR: 15 😳
PAT: 18
AA: 20
TS: 22

Overall, it wasn't too bad. I was actually very concerned with my QR because i STRUGGLED to break a 16 on any practice test. i was concerned that i would have to retake the exam because of QR. Like a week before the exam, i started my practice tests and realized, i suck at QR and i should have studied more for it. I didn't even bother to learn the trig stuff because i did horrible in trig in high school and i didn't know any of the functions. Word problems i just suck at.

As far as the other sections, they were pretty much on par with Topscore. However, bio i thought was similar to DAT Achiever. I must have gotten like 3 or 4 similar questions that were on it and probably wouldn't have gotten them right if i didn't study them... GChem i was concnered too b/c of the whole math factor, but it didn't turn out too bad. Ochem was simple and if you know Kaplan you are definitely set.

As far as PAT, let me say that Achiever is WAYY too hard. To tell you the truth, i don't know why everyone says that Achiever is good practice for the exam. Sure, their 3-D representations are helpful, but for the most part it's ridicuously too hard. (ESPECIALLY the hole punching). For instance, while doing Achiever's PAT, you never feel 100% sure about ONE SINGLE answer, but for the actual DAT, you can be confident that your selection is correct. The actual PAT is definitely right on par with TopScore.

as far as my questions, for those who have taken the DAT:

How long after you took the exam did your schools receive your scores? did they only contact you after they receieved your "official" scores from the ADA, or did they notify you after you updated it on AADSAS?

Do you think the QR score is too low? Does ANYONE here know someone who has been denied because of a low score (15), particularly on QR?

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Congrats~ Great Scores...I don't think your QR will hurt you. How were you doing on topscore. My test is in 6 days, and I like to compare. 🙄

Topscore 3 was pretty much the same as my actual results

I just took topscore 1 and my scores are really similar to yours. Not as high in bio, and higher in QR...but pretty much the same. I hope I can do as well as you. Good luck to you... :luck:

One more question, I've been noticing on everyone's tests recently...the topscore 1 GChem is usually 4-7 points lower than the actual DAT GChem score. Is it just too hard, or does everyone study alot after getting their first topscore score back. 🙂

Tissy, they're talking about some dirt on Qr, I think you might want to get in on the "fun"

Also, good job student, were there a lot of word problems in Qr, easy problems, trig, etc, describe the anatomical make-up of the Qr section?

DMD- As far as the chemistry, as I said, i took all those exams within the same week, so i think it was more of exam 3 asking different questions compared to exam one (i didn't "re-learn" anything or fix mistakes) i also made some careless errors in the first 2 practice exams.

DJApprentice- The QR I thought was a mix of everything. One temp conversion, solve for x, an easy perimter question that i messed up, some conversions, about 2-3 trig questions (couldn't tell you if they were easy or hard cuz i guessed on all 3, hehe), and like 5-10 word problems. Again, i have a very poor math background, so if you're doing fine in the practice exams (topscore, dat achiever) you should be set for the exam. Nothing on the QR was different than the practice problems..

one more thing i want to add, is that if you read some posts about ppl answering questions, and they seem to be like geniuses (i.e. you're wondering where the heck did they learn this from? iv'e been studying for 2 months and i never knew this??)...don't be intimidated. you just need to study and invest the proper amount of time and you can do well...

great job, student! I really hope i can do as well as you. I also have similar scores on topscore as you - thanks for posting those. How did you think bio was on your exam? Was it a lot of random stuff or was it details on important topics?

Also, how long did you study for? Lastly, my dad says that i need to subtract a point or two from my academic average because he thinks that nervousness will bring you down during the real exam. What do you guys think? I don't really agree cuz i still get nervous when taking practice haha.

oh yea and how did you think the reading comp was compared to topscore? i'm nervous that everyone is saying there's way more tone questions because they don't have that kind of thing on topscore or achiever! 🙁
