That is all.

Tips for 3rd year:

Don't be a freaking pansy, be confident, speak up when you know, ask questions when you don't and it's a good time.
Learn to not follow residents around like a puppy after you get the ropes
Think about what's going on, don't just regurgitate
Don't let people bashing on your speciality change your mind too much unless what they're saying is unmitigatedly true
Study a LITTLE every night, with very few exceptions (seriously just look up one that one thing)
Go out on the weekends, intern year is gonna suck
Always be asking yoursel why this symptom exists, why are we doing that procedure, what might the side effects be, how will the patient present, how would I work it up and so on and so forth

Bring on MS4!

My number one tip for studying: Always keep a resource on you whether it's a pocket book or UWorld on your phone and study during downtimes. While you may spend long days in the hospital if you get some studying done every day when there's nothing going on it cuts down A LOT on at home studying.

UW on a phone? How is this possible?

There is an UW app for iphone and android phones now. I've been using it for Step 2 Qbank and its been a godsend for studying at the hospital.

They recently released the Android Step 1 app. Not sure about parts 2 and 3 though.

I just downloaded the Android Uworld app this past weekend. It works for Step 2 stuff. 🙂

Had some rotations where we sort of had to do this. Also, these "enjoy fourth year" posts from the residents are pretty ominous. 😏

I take them as sincere.
