Page 318 in First Aid 2007 has a diagram of the cell cycle and where certain drugs act. "Antimetabolites" has an arrow pointing to the S phase and I'm pretty sure it should be pointing to the G1 phase. Alkylating agents are not mentioned in the diagram and they act in S phase. Am I wrong? Or is the diagram wrong?

Thanks

I am 99% sure there was a diagram in USLME World that had antimetabolites pointing to the G1 phase. One of the two diagrams is wrong, but I tend to believe wiki.

That UW diagram has been brought up before as suspect on this forum. Anti-metabolites alter proper DNA synthesis, which is why I think they effect S phase. Alkylating agents are categorized as cell-cycle non-specific because they exert their effect on formed DNA, which is present in every cycle.
