First Post: Have a Question about my chances.

Ill start off by saying hello to all members and to apologize in advance if I break any rules since I am not as familiar with SDN policies (have read rules briefly). So im deciding to apply to a few med schools with my current stats. Im planning to take my 2nd try at the MCAT and then applying to US med schools. I have been looking at carribean schools, mostly AUC, and Ross, and even the new UMHS. My first question is what is the best school for me im looking particularly smaller class size, since I learn better in this type of environment. Finance is not a problem as I am expecting to self pay. my second question is what are my chances at any of the "big 4". I have a Science GPA of 3.168, overall GPA 3.268. A BA in Biology, Minor in Anthropology. I have a MCAT score of 27 with 9 in each section.

if you are looking for small class size (and cheaper) then check out Saba.

This year they had a guy match into plastic surgery in toronto. so they are doing very well.

if you're looking for the best reputation and the best choice of clinical rotations than pick SGU, this year SGU had a guy match into Derm at Tornto.

Lol this year I have heard a person matched into plastics at U of T from Saba, you can't go based on ONE match. Every year several students match into Canada and Saba is 1/2 the cost of SGU. I say Saba > SGU. Just to make things clear I go to Ross.

I recommended Saba because he specifically asked about small class size. Thought I would mention the matching into plastics as innocent extra info 🙄 actually i interviewed with them over the phone a few days ago and they told me that.. so it's fresh in my mind and wanted to share it. but of course it doesn't say anything about which school is better in terms of residency appointments.

As far as class sizes go for the Big 4:

Ross > SGU > AUC > Saba

Ok let me also add in residency/matching is top priority with size as a secondary importance level. Also im getting lots of info but what are my general chances with what I got so far?
